Lisa married her Winchester high school sweetheart in 1986.  Before becoming a full-time mom to two boys, ages 17 and 14, and community/non-profit volunteer, Lisa worked at Bank of Boston for 10 years.  Today she’s a part-time grad student at Simmons School of Management working toward her MBA.

Lisa just returned from a two-week trip in October to South Africa.  She was invited as a Smith College alum to participate in a program called “Among Women:  An International Dialogue” that offers the opportunity for alumni of  the Seven Sisters Colleges to engage with women in selected regions worldwide to explore women’s issues that affect us all such as education, health, gender parity, business, the arts and media.  The group visited Cape Town and Johannesburg, and culminated the trip with a safari at a game reserve called Thornybush.

Lisa was a figure skater as a child and made the natural progression to women’s hockey in NEWHL’s inaugural 2002 season.  She took a brief hiatus from the ice after having her ACL repaired in 04/05.   We can all see she is back to full-force now!

What’s the most rewarding thing about skating with NEWHL?  “Good fun and exercise!”
