Application for 2011/2012 March Ice / Spring Ice

To register for one of our programs:

1. Fill in form online, before you press the submit button print the form and sign it. Then press Submit to show your intent to participate. Space is limited so please do this ASAP.

2. Provide a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit CHECK WRITTEN TO NEWHL, in the amount of $150 to hold your spot for the upcoming season. The remaining balance is due on the first day of your skating session.

3. Mail the signed registration form and deposit check to: Kerri Macaluso, 11 Putnam Rd., Acton, MA. 01720.

4. Bring your final payment on the first day you skate. Please make your check out to: NEWHL. No one will be allowed on the ice without full payment and application. We will send out a reminder email in early September.

5. Prior to September 1, you must register online for USA Hockey membership and pay its fee directly to USA Hockey.  (In 2006/2007 the USA Hockey fee was $35.)  Go to http://www.usahockey.com and click on Online Member Registration. You will receive a confirmation number in your email, which you must forward to Sonya@ospf.org so she can register you into the NEWHL program, which is a local affiliate of USA Hockey.  

6. Refund policy. C/D and D/Recreational levels: NO REFUNDS issued unless you find someone with equal experience to take your place with in the first month of play. Learn to Play: NO REFUNDS issued unless you find someone to take your place and it is within the first 2 weeks of the program. Our Refund Policy takes into account the safety and experience of the player and is based upon the fact that we buy the ice and make schedules based upon number of applicants. No matter what happens, we have to pay for it.

Note that full hockey equipment is required for all programs.

MARCH PROGRAM

Skill sessions are 1-1/2 hours long, 9:30 - 11:00. Friday games are 9:30 - 10:30 and 10:40 - 11:40.
The fee for playing in April Showers is not included.

Everyone is welcome to skate with us for the month of March. See Schedule page for dates and times.

Mixed Level Skills

Wednesday and Friday, 30hrs. Insructional Ice $400

L2P Level Skills

This class will be geared to the L2P player. Much of the session will include edge work and proper technique. This means lots of reps for the skater and lots of coach demonstrations. We need 15 skaters to have this session.
